What are the hours of the dining room?

Dining room and bar service hours shall be from 11:45 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. and from 4:00 P.M. until business dictates closing, not to exceed 3:00 P.M. on Monday and 11:00 P.M. Tuesday through Saturday. Contact the Poinsett Club Receptionist for reservations.

Do I have to wear a coat and tie?

Ties are not required, and the wearing of a jacket by gentlemen is only required for dining after 7:00 p.m in the Traditional areas of the Club. Coat and Tie are not required to dine in "1935 at Poinsett Club", the Club's designated business casual restaurant. Please enter from the door on Williams Street.  Lunch is considered business casual in all areas of the Club.

What is business casual attire?

Business casual requires slacks, collared shirts, and dress shoes for men. For women, blouses, dresses, skirts, or slacks are appropriate. The dress code prohibits at all times and in all areas of the Club: Denim, t-shirts, athletic wear, tank, halter or jogging tops, untucked shirts, collared shirts unbuttoned more than one button or two inches from the neckline, wrinkled clothing, ripped clothing, shorts, baseball caps, spandex, open midriffs, leggings, extremely short hemlines, sneakers, extremely casual or beach footwear.

Can I use my computer or cell phone in the Club?

Cell phones, computers, or other devices are not allowed in the common areas of the Club.  Texting is also not permitted in any common areas of the Club.  The Club provides wireless internet service for your convenience in private rooms and telephone booths.

What time does the bar open?

Bar hours are from 11:45 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 until business dictates closing not to exceed 12:00 midnight Tuesday through Saturday.

How often does the menu change?

Seasonally.  The Club also provides daily menu specials and a few signature items that are always offered.

Is there a charge for private rooms?

There is never a charge for Members to book private dining rooms.  Please get in touch with our Private Parties Department for more information about menus, room availability, and reservations.

Do you serve breakfast?

We are not regularly open for breakfast; a private breakfast can be arranged with the Private Parties Department.

Are children allowed in the dining room?

Yes. Children are welcome at the Club, and we offer highchairs, booster seats, and a children's menu for your convenience.
